When you can't wash your hair

Every girl has been through it...  You didn't wash your hair the night before...  Whatever the reason may be--  Either you were busy or tired-- we've all been through it.  The next day your hair may get oily.  Mine definitely does.  And I used to use a little baby powder when I was younger to soak up the oils to make my hair look less stringy, but now we have dry shampoo!

According to Totalbeauty.com reviewers, the best dry shampoo is Korane ECO Gentle Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($7.50).
TotalBeauty.com average reader rating: 9*
Why: One woman says this "is a wonderful dry shampoo. I often can't wash my hair everyday and this product is a lifesaver. I have very limp, fine hair. After using this, my hair is clean and has volume and bounce." Another woman says, "as a person who can't wash their hair everyday (it's super dry and super curly/wavy) this stuff is fantastic. I've literally tried every dry shampoo on the market and this is my top choice. Smells great and it doesn't leave my hair with a powdery feeling." Women with fine hair can't believe that this product, "actually gives my hair a lot of volume and it looks CLEAN." Another says, "this is one of the beauty products I really can't do without. It's the best dry shampoo I've found -- it's light and hard to overdo, doesn't give you the dreaded "powdered wig" look and it has a mild, pleasant fragrance. It's also very effective.

Dry, aging skin

Dry, aging skin?  Try this:
Add a drop of vitamin E oil to a squirt of your moisturizer and smooth the mix onto trouble spots (such as around your mouth and eyes)--it's a trick Luke learned from her relatives back home. "Besides being a skin hydrator, vitamin E is a potent antioxidant that helps skin stay young looking," says Women's Health dermatology advisor Francesca Fusco, M.D.

DIY pimple cream! Cheap, cheap! I like!

DIY for acne! You don't need a store-bought cream for acne.  You can try this concoction with things you already have at home!

"Combine baking soda with water to make a paste and dab it onto a pimple," suggests Nadine Luke, a MAC makeup artist in New York City who was born in St. Ann's Parish, Jamaica. "As it dries and hardens, it sucks dirt and oil out of your pores."
